100 Student Challenge

The Network has decided to take it upon ourselves to start up a new campaign to not only raise awareness but donate our stem cells to help people like Hazel Richardson. We wanted to actually do our bit as a school in order to save people’s lives, which means that if you are between 16-30 within the Herts and Essex community then we want you to register!
It’s not hard and it won’t hurt so we want as many of you as possible to get involved. We estimate that there are over 400 students within year 11, 12 and 13. We aren’t forcing all 400 of you to donate because we need a realistic goal, so we are aiming for around 100 of you to register! That’s roughly 33 students per year group which could possibly be a donor to save someone’s life. This won’t just be for Hazy but for thousands of other people affected with cancers, and problems that lead to the destruction of their own stem cells, just by registering you’re making a huge impact on the depleting number of people willing to donate.
Even if you’re not within the age range, we still want you to be a part of the campaign! We need everyone we can to spread the word for more people to register. This isn’t just a little fun or a competition, this is the huge chance to give a person the opportunity to live ordinary life, this is you taking one for the team and saving an individual.
We wanted to celebrate those who have registered so have chosen to have a champions board to show off how amazing our school did! This will be placed within reception so that you get the recognition that you deserve. And if you’re competitive then I hope you are all prepared for other schools attempting to beat our 100 students.
