1. Change your normal shampoo and conditioner to moisturising shampoo and conditioner as this will moisturise your hair throughout the dry cold weather conditions. Your hair needs to be kept moisturised as the constant temperature changes seriously affect your hair and if you don’t look after it properly then without realising it you can damage your hair.
2. Invest in some Argon Oil for your hair type. This will keep it looking glossy and hydrated. It also prevents fly aways and keeps your looking silky smooth. Check to see what hair type you are as you do not want to be using a product that is too heavy for your hair as it could make your hair feel greasy. You can purchase Argon Oil in shops like Boots and Superdrug.
3. Use heat protection spray before using heat appliances. These are straighteners and curlers. To be extra careful, spray a small amount onto your hair before blow drying.
4. Get your hair trimmed regularly as it will get rid of any dry ends, and you’ll have luscious locks by the summer.
5. If you're having some pamper time, invest in a hair mask as this will replenish your hair. If you do this every 6 weeks your hair with be healthier for longer.
6. Purchase leave-in spray conditioners to keep your hair protected from the cold blistery winds.
7. Keep washing your hair to a minimum - say two to three times a week. This will prevent your hair from drying out too much.
8. To avoid frizzy, damaged hair keep your hair tied up as much as possible, as this will protect it from the weather.
9. Always make sure you dry your hair before leaving the house. Not only because you will get a cold, but the moisture in your hair combined with the cold air will add further damage to your hair by making it more brittle and dry.
