Miss Bellinger: Swimming Superstar!

At Herts and Essex, we are taught by numerous motivational teachers, for example Miss Bellinger. Miss Bellinger is a keen PE teacher who not only encourages her students to push themselves to their full ability, but is also extremely successful in her own area of sport. Miss Bellinger is a talented swimmer and has a lot of experience as she first got in the pool at four months old. Since she was a child, Miss Bellinger has continuously loved sport and was encouraged to participate by her supportive family. From a young age ,she participated in sport including swimming, attending her first swimming competition at the age of ten.
In 2004, Miss Bellinger’s determination, commitment and skill led her to winning Silver at her first international competition. Ten years later, Miss Bellinger maintained her times and was awarded two Silvers medal at the World Masters Championships. Throughout her swimming career, Miss Bellinger has broken British and European records in the 50m and 100m butterfly in addition to competing and winning in other strokes.
Miss Bellinger’s inspiration is Sally Gunnell, a gold medallist at the 1992 Olympics in the 400m hurdles as a British track and field athlete. Gunnell, a local woman from Essex, has broken the world record, as well as winning World, European and Commonwealth titles. Miss Bellinger brings her enthusiasm to the students’ sport lessons and clubs and assists them in improving their skills. Being a victorious sportswoman, teacher and coach, Miss Bellinger genuinely inspires her pupils to thrive.
