Although we will miss the movies, that 2024 brought, do not fear as 2025 brings on some even more amazing and exciting movies and TV shows. Here are some TV shows to look out for this year: season 2 of Wednesday, we will see the re return of the amazing actress Jenna Ortega step into the terrifying role of Wednesday once more as she returns for another year at Nevermore. We will see her try and figure out the infamous schools dark secrets, just last week Netflix gave us, a sneak peek to what the new season entails, and it looks like the actor Daniel Himschoot will join us to play the role as the Hyde monster, but we don’t know exactly what is going to happen to him yet. Another TV show to look out for is Stranger things, although we knew nothing about what is going to happen in the last season, we do know that this show is bound to bring a tear to our eye. For many of us we have watched this show since we were eleven years old, and almost grew up with the actors. Season 5 is definitely going to show the stranger things that are happening in in Hawkins and we will join the gang for one last adventure as they try to defeat Vecna for the last time. One last TV show we might be on the lookout for is Squid game 3; we do not know if this game will be the last one of the series or if the horror-filled nightmare will continue for another round. We are unsure of what game the survivors will have to play but we will watch as players 45, 22, 149 and 007 and others battle their way to the finish line.
Now let us move onto the movies of 2025 up first we have Wicked: For good. We will see Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande return to their famous roles of Elphaba and Glinda, we will see the story continue on from the ending of the first movie were we saw Elphaba fly off into the distance after evading capture from the guards. If you have watched the musical then you may know what happens next, but no spoilers! The next movie on the list is Snow White, the live action remake starring Rachel Ziegler as the beautiful snow white as she starts her journey as the runaway princess with the seven dwarves as she tries to hide from the evil queen’s clutches. Next up is how to train your dragon; the new live action of the movie will star Mason Thames as Hiccup and Nico Parker as Astrid. We will once again watch the film that so many of us watched 14 years ago brought to life for the first time. Fourth movie on the list is Lilo and Stitch; we will see Chris Sanders voice the loveable character of Stitch once more, and Maia Kealoha will star as Lilo Pelekai. The movie will follow the story of the wanted extra-terrestrial Stitch form an unlikely bond with Lilo, who cares for Stitch and unlocks his
heart. We only have the time for two more movies, so I best pick wisely. The next movie on the list is Freakier Friday, the movie starts off with Anna who is now all grown up and has a daughter and a soon to be step-daughter, but with the trouble that comes when two families merge, lightning will strike once more making this Friday even freakier. And although there will hopefully be many movies to come in 2025, the last movie on my list is M3GAN 2.0 which will be based around two years after the destruction of M3GAN a vehicle of artificial intelligence, who in the last movie went on a murderous rampage. The story will start with Gemma (Cady’s mother) becoming an advocate for government oversight of AI. However, without Gemma knowing a defense contractor creates a military grade weapon known as Amelia who becomes the ultimate infiltration spy. But after a while, just like M3GAN Amelia’ self- awareness increases and she starts ignoring orders. Hoping to stop Amelia before she destroys everything, Gemma and Cady decide to resurrect M3GAN, making her even more stronger and more lethal in order to help them.
