Mr Chapman's Beard
Laila Page

As most of you have probably noticed, since the 20th January our school corridors have been missing a beard. This beard that we speak of is of course the one that, once upon a time, belonged to our very own Mr Chapman.
Mr Chapman has, for as long as I have been present at this school, been famous for owning Herts and Essex High School’s most famous beard. Yet, Mr Chapman courageously decided to be separated from his loyal and hairy friend in the name of charity. And the charity of choice was Grove Cottage.
Grove Cottage is a charity in Bishops Stortford that supplies a place to learn for people of any age with learning difficulties. It allows them to learn and make friends, but also allows parents and carers some respite. Grove Cottage has, for many years, supplied a safe space for people to learn and receive help, which makes this a very important local cause that we can all help.
