Get Weird is the third album by Little Mix. They wrote over 100 songs for the album before selecting the final 16. The girls described it a “whole new sound” from their other albums and described it as having more pop. It includes their very successful single Black Magic which was nominated for Best Single at this year Brit awards. The album debuted at number on the UK Albums Chart. In addition, they are the only girl group from the UK to have their first three albums debut in the top fifteen of the Billboard 200. |

1989 is named after the year Swift was born and is Swift’s fifth album. The album described by Swift is her “first documented official pop album”. The genre is dance pop and is inspired by late 1980s pop music. This album has received many awards including Grammy Award for Album of the Year which makes her the first and only female credited main artist to win this award twice. It includes many international well known singles such as Shake it Off and Blank Space. |

X is Sheeran’s second album. This album has elements of R&B, hip hop and pop. It contains many successful singles such as Sing which was Sheeran’s first UK number one single and Thinking Out Loud which went to number one in 12 countries. 25 is Adele’s third album. After the major success of her album 21 released in 2011, Adele considered quitting the music industry after fears she wouldn’t live up to it. However, she decided to take a hiatus instead. During her hiatus, she suffered from writer’s block and feared she lost her ability to write songs. Fortunately, in 2013 she had a breakthrough and the material eventually came to form 25. Adele describes the album as a reflection of her life and frame of mind at 25 years old. The album’s lyrical content features themes of motherhood, regret and nostalgia. Her album has become very successful debuting at number one in more than 25 countries and won her best album of the year at this year Brit awards. |
