The Met Gala looks

​Doja cat, Lil Nas X and Jared Leto all had their looks themed around cats. This was a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s little white cat, who he was often seen with. All three had different interpretations on this, as Lil Nas X and Doja cat stunned the carpet in diamonds and jewels from head to toe. Whereas Jared Leto arrived in a fluffy, comfortable costume. 

​Lily Collins wearing Vera Wang, Cartier jewellery, and Christian Louboutin shoes, and Jeremy Pope wearing custom Balmain. Both of these looks are embracing the theme of this year’s met gala, which was a tribute to designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019. 

​Pedro Pascal. Wearing Valentino, the bold red shade stands out amongst the predominantly black and white colour scheme of the met gala. The contrast between black and red makes his look more eye catching. However, at the met gala it is rare for male celebrities to be wearing shorts, so this creates a more unique and personal look.

​Janelle Monáe. In her eccentric Thom Browne look. The headpiece which she wore accessorises her sheer look, with the same colour scheme throughout. The structure of the dress resembles a traditional royal hoop skirt, however for the met gala they have raised expectations with the added details, such as the mesh lining and diamond trimming. This outfit has been paired with statement heeled trainers which have a hint of red to finish this bold look.
